Celebrating African and Caribbean Expats: Culture & Success in the Middle East

It is with great pride and purpose that I welcome you to African Expats Magazine, a platform created to celebrate, connect, and uplift the African & Caribbean diaspora living and thriving across the Middle East.

This isn’t just a publication. It’s a dynamic space where our voices are heard, our achievements are recognized, and our stories are told on our own terms. From family life to entrepreneurship, from art and wellness to culture and design, this platform captures the richness of African & Caribbean expat life in all its diversity.

At our core, we are committed to shifting narratives and changing perceptions. For too long, the contributions of African & Caribbean expats in this region have been underrepresented. African Expats Magazine exists to change that. We aim to highlight success, celebrate heritage with a modern edge, and give visibility to the excellence, creativity, and resilience that define our communities.

So what exactly is African Expats Magazine?

While the name suggests a traditional publication, we’re starting as something more agile and accessible: a digital-first platform. Think of it as a home for curated content, in-depth features, interviews, videos, and community storytelling; all delivered online. We don’t yet follow a fixed publishing schedule, and there’s no print edition for now. But our vision is clear: we are building toward that. A magazine mindset, with a multimedia future.

In short, we’re more than a magazine. We’re a growing platform and community-shaped by African & Caribbean expats, for African & Caribbean expats designed to inform, inspire, and represent us in the spaces we occupy today, and the ones we’re yet to conquer.

As a Publicist and Global PR Strategist, I’m proud to lead this project through my agency, The Network PR Middle EastAfrican Expats Magazine UAE  is one of our flagship initiatives, a media and storytelling product designed to bring visibility, pride, and unity to the African & Caribbean expat experience in the region.

But this platform isn’t just about my vision, it’s about all of us. I invite you to be part of it: share your story, engage with our content, and help us shape a narrative that reflects who we truly are.

Whether you’re an entrepreneur or an executive in Dubai, a creative spirit in Riyadh, a teacher in Abu Dhabi, or a student in Doha, this is your platform. This is your home.

With gratitude and excitement,
Vanessa Page-Ngambi ep. Kamé-Domguia
